Antididact are a melodic death metal band from Norwich, UK. Formed in 2020, they write a combination of modern death and symphonic black metal that conjures up bleak, stifling atmospheres through heavy technical work, layered with orchestral and synth arrangements. They enjoy metal, old man ear wax beer, curry, and shit horror films.
Stalwarts of the Norwich metal scene, Frog and Bob have been playing in bands for over 2 decades. Given their local history and broad musical influences, they wanted to make sure that Antididact blended riffs from a range of genres with melancholic lyrical themes into songs that are both intense and thoughtful. From the techy metalcore-ish of End Soteria to the prog metal of Sinister Clothcat and the stadium rock of Pout at the Devil, they represent years of sweaty practice rooms and music venues, musical exploration, and experience.
